1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Time4Money ("Time4Money," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing, registering for, or using our website and services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the platform.
2. Description of Services
Time4Money is an online marketplace designed to connect college students and other eligible users who need assistance with tasks ("Posters") with individuals willing to complete those tasks ("Workers").
Tasks may include tutoring, moving assistance, cleaning, errands, yard work, and other lawful services.
Time4Money provides a platform for connecting users and facilitating transactions. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Time4Money does not perform the listed tasks, employ Workers, or directly supervise services.
Any agreement to perform a task is between the Poster and Worker.
3. User Eligibility
To use Time4Money, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Provide accurate registration information.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into agreements.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Meet any student verification requirements established by the platform.
Time4Money reserves the right to request identity or student verification and restrict accounts that fail to satisfy eligibility requirements.
Verification does not constitute a background check or guarantee a user's identity, qualifications, or trustworthiness.
4. User Accounts
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for activities occurring through their accounts.
Users agree not to impersonate others, create fraudulent accounts, provide misleading information, or allow unauthorized access to their accounts.
Time4Money may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, subject to applicable law.
5. Posting and Accepting Jobs
Posters are responsible for providing accurate task descriptions, locations, compensation, scheduling details, and any relevant safety requirements.
Workers are responsible for reviewing task requirements before accepting a job and determining whether they possess the necessary skills, equipment, and qualifications.
Both parties must agree to the scope of work, compensation, and schedule before beginning a task.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws, including licensing, workplace safety, and other requirements associated with the services they offer or request.
6. Payments and Platform Fees
Where payment functionality is available, Time4Money may facilitate payments through third-party payment processors, including Stripe.
Users agree to provide accurate payment information and comply with applicable payment processor terms.
Any platform fees, processing fees, and applicable charges will be disclosed before the user confirms a transaction.
Workers authorize the payment processing and payout activities described during onboarding and checkout, subject to the applicable payment processor agreements.
Payment processing, payouts, and transfers may be delayed or restricted for verification, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal compliance.
Time4Money does not guarantee immediate payment or payout availability.
7. Cancellations, Refunds, and Disputes
Posters and Workers should communicate promptly regarding cancellations, incomplete work, or disagreements.
Refund eligibility and cancellation charges, if any, are governed by the cancellation and refund policies disclosed at the time of booking.
Users may contact Time4Money to report payment issues, suspected fraud, or disputes.
Time4Money may review available transaction records and take appropriate action under its policies. However, Time4Money does not guarantee the resolution of every disagreement.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights or rights to dispute charges under applicable law.
8. Prohibited Activities
Users may not use Time4Money to request, advertise, or perform:
- Illegal activities or services.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, or exploitation.
- Fraudulent or deceptive transactions.
- Services involving illegal drugs or unlawful distribution of regulated goods.
- Dangerous activities that violate applicable safety laws.
- Academic dishonesty, including completing graded assignments or examinations on behalf of another student.
- Services requiring professional licenses or certifications that the Worker does not possess.
- Any activity that violates university policies or applicable laws.
Time4Money reserves the right to remove prohibited listings and restrict associated accounts.
9. User Safety and Conduct
Users are responsible for exercising reasonable judgment when interacting with others.
Users should communicate task expectations clearly, use appropriate safety precautions, and avoid situations they reasonably believe to be unsafe.
Users must not engage in violence, intimidation, harassment, or other abusive behavior.
Time4Money does not guarantee the safety, conduct, qualifications, or reliability of individual users.
Users should contact emergency services when facing an immediate threat.
10. Independent Relationships
Workers generally determine whether to accept available tasks and how to perform the agreed services, subject to their arrangements with Posters and applicable law.
Time4Money is intended to operate as a marketplace connecting independent parties, not as a direct employer of Workers.
The legal classification of any working relationship depends on the actual circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms overrides employment, wage, tax, or other legal protections.
Users are responsible for their applicable tax obligations and any required licenses or permits.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Time4Money provides its platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Time4Money does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
Time4Money does not guarantee the quality, completion, timeliness, legality, or suitability of services offered by users.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Time4Money will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including lost profits or business opportunities.
Time4Money is not automatically responsible for the independent actions or omissions of Posters and Workers.
These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from Time4Money's own conduct where applicable law prohibits such exclusion.
13. User Content
Users retain ownership of content they submit, including job descriptions, reviews, photographs, and profile information.
By submitting content, users grant Time4Money a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, and improve the platform.
Users must have the necessary rights to submit their content and must not infringe the rights of others.
Time4Money may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
Time4Money may collect and process information necessary to operate the platform, including account information, task details, communications, and transaction-related information.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with Time4Money's separately published Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
Payment processors may collect and process additional information under their own privacy policies.
15. Suspension and Termination
Time4Money may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, safety concerns, legal requirements, or violations of these Terms.
Users may request account closure by contacting Time4Money through its designated support channel.
Account closure does not automatically eliminate outstanding payment obligations, pending disputes, or legally required record retention.
16. University Affiliation
Time4Money is an independent student-focused marketplace.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Time4Money is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially operated by West Virginia University or any other educational institution.
References to universities are for identification and community purposes only.
17. Changes to Terms
Time4Money may revise these Terms periodically.
Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Where required by law, users will receive additional notice or be asked to provide consent.
Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
